Beyond The Scores – April 14, 2015
I have had a strange, longstanding fear of birds. I blame my mom, who showed me the Alfred Hitchcock classic “The Birds” when I was a small child. It never occurred to me until I watched this video that I should maybe be worried about fish attacks as well. Friday morning, members of the Washington University’s freshman rowing team were practicing on Creve Coeur Lake when some flying Asian Carp decided they’d like in on the action. They don’t seem to actually be harming the rowers, so I still trust them more than birds. Slightly. Skip to the 0:20 mark to see the fish start to fly.
