It’s only June, still early in baseball season, but it looks like we have a solid contender for catch of the year.  Yesterday, the Jays were doing everything they could to help Marco Estrada maintain a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays. In the bottom of the eighth, Toronto third baseman Josh Donaldson went a long way to catch a foul ball…right into the stands.  Not just a little lean into the fans, but a full body jump that saw him clear the rail, land on several fans and still manage to catch the ball and make the out.

Unfortunately for Estrada, the next Tampa batter, Logan Forsythe broke up the perfect game with an infield single, though the Jays still came out on top, 1-0 in 12 innings.
