Oscar mishap accountants ‘will never return’ to ceremony

The two PricewaterhouseCoopers accountants responsible for the Oscar envelopes this year will never work the show again. They are Brian Cullinan and Martha Ruiz, blamed for the envelope mix-up (although it was Brian who is to blame.) The academy president, Cheryl Boone Isaacs announced it yesterday.

Also, there is now photographic evidence of him holding TWO envelopes.
Meanwhile, when Moonlight writer-director Barry Jenkins found out that his film won Best Picture at the Oscars (right after he believed he’d lost to La La Land, the film that was first announced as the winner), the opportunity to give his planned victory speech was lost due to the strange circumstances.
